Harmonica App Reviews

I love playing music of all kinds and on anything that can make a sound. But I was skeptical that this app would actually work. I figured I lose $.99 at worst. But this harmonica app was totally worth it. Nicely executed, Benjamin! I love it. As one of the first people to try the original Ocarina app and a few other musical instrument apps Ive seen both good and bad (Ocarina is great by the way). This is one of the best. It plays so realistically and once you get the hang of the "chords" button and "draw" button its a snap to play. I dont understand the reviews that say you cant change key or that you cant play chords. Do these people bother reading the very simple instructions, or take two minutes to play around with the buttons? Honestly, people, if you dont have the patience to test the app properly then dont bother writing an idiotic review. This is excellent and worth more than the measly buck being charged.

This app doesnt play anything like a real harmonica. Its basically a bad video game and the harmonica sounds fake and cheesy. Nothing real about it. Dont waste your time or money

But needs more songs

great sound and playability but NEEDS to be able to be played from the other side of the phone so the right hand can add vibrato... is there any way the developer can make the image flip tk the other side??

I CANT SAY TO MUCH BUT THIS KICKS. SPECIALLY WHEN YOU WANT TO TAKE LESSONS ON YOUR TIME AND NOT SOME ONE ELSES . THE ONLY IMPROVMENT ON MY PART IT SHOULD COME WITH A LITTLE NARRATION BY BEN SHOWING GIS STUFF OFF. BUTT I GIVE I A 10 STARS IN A WORLD OF 5. TANK Q BERRY MACH, MR. BIGG BURRITO

Im just now getting to know what this app can do. As an avid amateur harmonica player I can now have a virtual choice of harmonicas. I can play without bothering anyone.

This is not harmonica sound.

You need to be able to flip the harmonica around so you can do vibrato with your right hand! Otherwise fun app.

Yup. Not a real harmonica, but thats because its a phone. Works great, does its job. Great app. Could use more features for 5 stars.

OMG...this is mind-blowing! iPhone blowing! How incredibly clever. Its like Dance Dance Revolution for your lips with approaching notes. Let me tell you why this app is great for a beginner. Which I am. You can use a real harmonica and follow the approaching color coded timed positioned notes and blow or draw accordingly on your own instrument and voila- you are playing the songs! Practice and youve hot them memorized. I want more. More songs! Blues! Jazz! Dylan! ! More songs! There are too many Xmas and Americana ditties. But perhaps these are royalty free. Its ok for beginners but If only we could load songs...Paul Butterfields blues riffs.. OK I can dream.

I would actually use this app if you could change keys. Its fun though...

Its alright but I regret buying cos I will probably never use it. Its one of those things were I read all the reviews thinking o gotta get this! In return itll just sit in my attic of apps. Its well made and all but for one you cant see the screen with your mouth on it, and two why use mouth when its just a touch app... No blowing required. All in all its just another app to look stupid and annoying in front of people.

This is one awesome app for a beginning harmonica player like myself. Easy to follow and play along!! I want more songs. Bring em on!!

This is a great for someone wanting to learn to play the harmonica. There are several songs, but would like to see some good old patriotic songs added.
